RockTape - Kinesiology Tape Instruction - Standard Shoulder

Posted by Alfie Tatnell on

Here we’ll detail the steps on applying RockTape Kinesiology Tape to the shoulder. This is a simple and effective way to provide support and reduce pain. Start with our standard 2 inch tape and measure the first strip from the top of the shoulder to mid bicep. Cut two strips of this length. Measure a third strip from chest to upper back going over the shoulder. Round the tape’s corners to avoid catching on gear or clothing. Stretch the skin by placing hand to opposite front pocket. With the first strip, tear an end then anchor to the top of the shoulder, strip towards the backside of the shoulder.Pull away the release paper, taping over the back of the shoulder with no stretch and finish towards the biceps. Reposition by reaching the arm behind the body, hand to the opposite back pocket. For the second strip, anchor to the top of the shoulder, strip towards the front-side of the shoulder. Pull away the release paper, taping over the front of the shoulder with no stretch and finish towards the triceps. Rub it all to activate the adhesive. Take the final strip and anchor to the top of the chest, strip pointing up. Pull away the release paper, taping over the shoulder with no stretch. Rub to activate the adhesive. Thanks for watching!
